Autopilot

Aktid, a pioneer in the self-piloting of waste sorting centers.

A revolution in waste sorting center management

With Autopilot, Aktid offers a unique solution for automated and intelligent control of waste sorting. By analyzing all plant data in real time, the system makes optimal decisions to maximize performance — throughput, availability, and purity.

Centralizing data for better decision-making

Autopilot continuously collects data from sensors, process equipment (PLCs, optical sorters, silos, etc.), as well as from Aktid Smart Solutions® and third-party systems (compressors, dust extraction systems, etc.).

This data is harmonized and automatically analyzed to provide a comprehensive and dynamic view of the plant’s operation.

Reacting in real time with AI

Equipped with artificial intelligence algorithms, Autopilot automatically adjusts equipment settings to maintain target performance levels. It continuously identifies and corrects deviations related to changes in material composition, throughput, or output purity.

The result: a more stable, higher-performing sorting center that is less dependent on human intervention.

An innovation born from Aktid’s R&D

Since 2018, Aktid has been investing in applied research focused on the automation of sorting centers. Autopilot is the result of this R&D program, designed to anticipate the new challenges of waste management: increasing volumes, more complex material streams, and higher quality requirements.
