Aktid unveils its vision for the sorting centers of tomorrow at the Smart Event
Smart Event
On November 14, Aktid made a strong impression with the launch of its new innovative solutions, the Aktid Smart Solutions, during an event dedicated to artificial intelligence applied to waste sorting centers.
The vision of tomorrow’s sorting centers
Experts around the table
Hosted by Éric Renévier, Editor-in-Chief of ECOMEDIA Group, the event opened with a presentation on artificial intelligence in the industrial sector, introduced by Pierre Rosa, Industry 4.0 Project Manager at ENE (digital expert for businesses).
The afternoon continued with a round-table discussion bringing together experts from the waste management sector: Bertrand Le Floch, co-managing director of Guyot Environnement; Philippe Laurent, consultant, notably for the eco-organization ECO DDS; and Emmanuel Birot, technical sorting expert at Veolia. Together, they discussed the constraints and opportunities facing the sector, key operational challenges, and the role of innovation in addressing these issues.
Autopilot, the revolution in sorting centers by Aktid
A highlight of the day, the presentation of the Aktid Smart Solutions range captured the audience’s attention. Frédéric Milin and Vanessa Troillard, respectively Head of Innovation and Head of Marketing & Communication at Aktid, presented the full range of local control and operational support solutions, concluding with the unveiling of Autopilot: an autonomous system capable of managing and adapting, in real time, the operation of waste sorting centers to variations in waste streams and production constraints.
The presentation continued with small-group workshops, allowing participants to take a closer look at the innovative features of the new products in the range, which combine automation and artificial intelligence to optimize the performance of sorting facilities.
A word from Pierre-André Payerne, founder of Aktid
“At Aktid, we firmly believe that artificial intelligence is one of the keys to meeting the challenges of tomorrow’s waste management and, more broadly, those of the circular economy. With Autopilot, the performance of our customers’ sorting facilities is significantly enhanced, allowing us to actively contribute to a more sustainable future: together, we are transforming more and more waste into resources, in France and internationally!”
