Aktid wins the Tri-O project as lead contractor

Aktid has been selected by SPL Tri-O for the design and construction of the new selective collection sorting center in Masseube, as part of the extension of sorting guidelines.

This facility, located in the heart of the Occitanie region, is intended to replace the existing sites in the municipalities of Auch, Capvern and Saint-Gaudens, respectively managed by Trigone, SMTD65 and SYSTOM. These three intermunicipal waste authorities now form SPL Tri-O and represent 1,263 municipalities, covering approximately 600,000 inhabitants.

As lead contractor, Aktid coordinates and represents the project partners before the client, including: AT&E / A Bouchardeau / Agence Casals for architecture, Malet Spie Batignolles for roads and utilities, Touja / Gallego Construction for the building works, and Setec VE / David Sist for project management.

Construction is scheduled to begin at the end of 2023. Once operational, the facility will sort and recover nearly 35,000 tonnes of household packaging waste per year. To achieve this level of performance, the sorting center—fully designed to accommodate extended sorting guidelines—will be equipped with Aktid’s latest innovations, including the ABI software and Smart Solutions.
