A word from Pierre-André Payerne

I am convinced that only businesses and the collective intelligence that they give rise to have the power to boost the economy by creating shared wealth in a way that respects the environment. I also know that a company can only spread its wings if it has the means to do so. That’s why it has to perform at the highest level. Today, we are an industrial company committed to its values: the quest for outstanding performance is what makes us what we are and all our actions are guided by our environmental convictions, anchored in our values of unity, high standards, constant improvement, ambition and determination.

We are determined to continue to grow both individually and collectively, working closely with all our stakeholders and with a fierce determination to limit our carbon footprint. Our customers, both national and international, are the focus of our attention and we are proud to accompany them in the search for solutions that harmonise closely with our core aim: To grow together by transforming waste into a sustainable resource.

Reducing the environmental impact of equipment

At Aktid, every technical decision is planned to combine performance with respect for the environment. This means making frugal design choices, greater control over energy use, and paying attention to the entire value chain. Three complementary levers structure this approach.

Low-energy, high-performance technology

To limit the energy consumption of waste sorting centres, Aktid favours proven, low-energy and efficient technologies.

Heat recovery: The heat generated by the air compressors is used to heat the sorting cabin.
Optimised compressed air: Aktid installs some of the most energy-efficient compressed air equipment on the market, reducing the site’s energy consumption by up to 30%.
Monitoring and high-performance motors: All the motors proposed are class IE4/IE5, offering a high level of efficiency. Their consumption is monitored in real time using the ABI tool, guaranteeing precise energy management.

Responsible design

Aktid adopts an eco-design approach to limit the environmental impact of its equipment throughout its life cycle.

Materials, use, end of life: Each item of equipment is designed with sustainability and recyclability in mind.
EDDA tool: Developed by Aktid, this tool helps our R&D teams to compare the environmental footprint of different technical options and choose the most ethical one.

A committed supply chain

Our CSR commitments extend to our suppliers, selected for their geographical proximity and shared values, and are also reflected in our “fabless” business model:

Manufacture as close to the job site as possible:

secondary equipment (frameworks, conveyors) to reduce transport and support the local economy.
equipment designed by Aktid to ensure compliance with local standards and regulations, reduce transport and support local players.

CSR evaluation of suppliers: Safety, HR practices, environmental management and responsible commercial relations form an integral part of our selection process.

Aktid is committed to protecting the environment and biodiversity

As a result of their work, Aktid employees are even more aware of the environmental cause. In addition to actions to optimise energy use, sort and reduce waste, Aktid has chosen to take another small step to protect the environment by hosting 6 beehives on its site. Protecting bees and pollinators in general is now a major issue in safeguarding local biodiversity. Bees, the main pollinators, are at the heart of our ecosystem and play a crucial role in the food chain. The very green setting of Aktid’s premises appeals to the hives’ 90,000 or so inhabitants, who live in perfect harmony with our employees!

Day-to-day actions on our premises

We are committed to adopting simple but effective measures on our premises:

Constantly reducing our energy consumption through efficient equipment and environmentally friendly actions.
Systematic sorting and limitation of waste generated; recyclable waste, paper and coffee grounds.
Encouraging more sustainable methods of travel, such as carpooling, cycling or public transport, for commuting and business trips.

Measuring for progress

To monitor our efforts and ensure they are effective, we carry out a full carbon assessment of our activities. This diagnosis enables us to identify the priority levers for reducing our emissions, and to ensure strict monitoring, with a view to continuously improving our environmental performance.

MALRAUX scéne nationale

Depuis 2019, Aktid a choisi de soutenir l’Espace Malraux. L’engagement partagé, la capacité à sortir du cadre, la volonté de sans cesse s’améliorer et l’esprit d’équipe sont des valeurs que toute l’équipe Aktid s’efforce de cultiver. De son côté, l’équipe de l’Espace Malraux partage ces valeurs pour créer des évènements originaux et sans tabous, avec la volonté de développer à Chambéry une offre culturelle diverse et ouverte au plus grand nombre. Aktid a donc choisi de soutenir l’Espace Malraux pour contribuer à la réussite de ce formidable projet.

Ma chance moi aussi

Aktid soutient l’association depuis sa création. L’association Ma Chance Moi Aussi s’inscrit dans la prévention précoce et propose un accompagnement éducatif et pédagogique aux enfants issus de familles en difficultés éducatives habitant les quartiers prioritaires. L’équipe Aktid est sensible à la cause portée cette association mais aussi à ses méthodes pratiques et modernes pour donner une véritable chance dans leur vie aux enfants qu’elle accompagne.

Le SOC Rugby

Les valeurs du rugby que sont le respect, l’esprit d’équipe, l’engagement, le dépassement de soi, et la convivialité sont des valeurs fortes de l’équipe Aktid. Aktid a donc choisi de devenir partenaire du SOC Rugby de Chambéry. Par ce soutien, Aktid souhaite encouragé la pratique du sport amateur dans sa ville et favoriser l’accès à la pratique du plus grand nombre.

Grand Chambery Ski

Depuis plusieurs années, Aktid s’associe à Grand Chambéry Ski, un club emblématique de la région, qui transmet depuis 1907 la passion du ski et de la montagne auprès des jeunes Chambériens. Grâce à un encadrement humain et technique de qualité, le club offre à ses licenciés une véritable école de la vie, axée sur le dépassement de soi, l’esprit d’équipe, la solidarité et le respect de l’autre. Aktid partage ces valeurs fortes.

Livre en marche

Aktid soutient Livres en Marches, un festival éco-responsable et 100% bénévole qui rassemble chaque année, près de Chambéry, des milliers de visiteurs. Ce rendez-vous annuel met l’accent sur l’accessibilité, l’ouverture et le partage, en proposant une grande bourse aux livres, des conférences, des ateliers jeunesse et des rencontres avec des auteurs reconnus. Aktid s’associe à ce festival pour contribuer à faire rayonner la culture et la matière-à-penser auprès du plus grand nombre.
